Nice breakfast

They had slept in the bed in which
Omi (grandma) deceased a couple
of months ago, but that didn't bother
Harry. More than once he had slept
in a bed in which someone had died.
When they came down at around eleven
o'clock, mother Ilse, Johann and daughter
Kim were already busy preparing dinner.
And they gave Harry a pint of beer.

A moment later they had soup with marrow
dumplings, roast rabbit, potatoes (which
were called Kromberen over here), braised
chard and lamb's lettuce with hard boiled egg.
And for dessert: strawberries, red currants and
raspberries, accompanied by a bottle of white
Moselle wine. Nice breakfast.
